Celebrating the EW Community at AOC

AOC50Electronic warfare (EW) has long been a significant part of US military history because of its potential for agility and sophistication during mission-critical operations. In that same spirit, dB Control has consistently been a prime innovator in EW technology, having designed, manufactured and delivered more than 300 MPMs for use in high-power radar systems, electronic countermeasure systems, EW simulators and data links. In fact, our products are onboard some of the most well-known airborne platforms – including the MQ-9 Reaper and RQ-4 Global Hawk. This year the AOC is recognizing us for these contributions as part of its 50th anniversary celebration. During the 50th Annual AOC International Symposium and Convention (October 27-30, Washington, D.C.) a summary about our impact on EW will be featured in the special 50th Anniversary History Hall. Plus, a profile about us is included in AOC’s recently published book, AOC Legacy: The First 50 Years.

So how are we celebrating? For starters, we’re exhibiting six high-power products – three traveling wave tube amplifiers (TWTAs) and three microwave power modules (MPMs) – in Booth 225 at the show in D.C. Three of the products are brand new:

  • dB-4127 MPM – 200 W Pulsed/CW, 6-18 GHz, Conduction Cooled. Applications: ECM, EW simulation, ground mobile and airborne platforms.
  • dB-4500-610S TWTA – 355/450 W CW, 6-11 GHz, Forced Air Cooled. Applications: ECM, EW simulation, manned and unmanned airborne platforms.
  • dB-4103A TWTA – 35 W CW, 26.5-40 GHz, Rack Mount, Forced Air Cooled. Applications: ECM transmitters/tests, EW simulation, test/measurement, RFI susceptibility testing, RF components testing, antenna pattern and radar cross-section measurements.

To extend the celebration to you, we’re offering some pretty fun giveaways you can bring home to the kids or keep for yourself – including beach balls, baseball caps, American flag pins, tote bags, sunglasses and much more. Write down “Booth 225” – you don’t want to miss this. And one more thing – if you’ll be at the show next week, you’ll probably spot us virtually everywhere. Since we’re the official “Lanyard Sponsor” of the event, dB Control’s name and logo will be displayed on lanyards worn by all show attendees. See you at the show.
