dB Control Supports Family-Owned Bay Area Restaurants, Purchases Weekly Lunches for Employees During COVID-19 Shelter-In-Place

Fremont-Based Manufacturer Boosts Local Economy, Wants to See Small Businesses Thrive

Fremont, Calif. – May 14, 2020 – For six weeks and counting, dB Control has purchased lunch for its employees from local, family-owned restaurants every Wednesday. Many Bay Area eateries have struggled to thrive during the COVID-19 pandemic due to reduced hours and dining restrictions. To help, dB Control selects one restaurant to support every week. Individually boxed, carryout meals are purchased for the 60-65 employees who work at the manufacturing facility during the shelter-in-place order. The facility is open because dB Control is an essential part of federal critical infrastructure.

“The small, family-owned restaurants around us are the backbone of this community. They’re the places people go to spend time with family, catch up with colleagues and so much more. We hope they can reopen their onsite dining when the shelter-in-place is lifted, and we’ll do our part to make sure that happens,” said dB Control Director of Operations Vlad DiNatale.
