Reports to: Controller
A growing manufacturing company located in Fremont is seeking a detail- oriented, high motivated Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. The position will report directly to the Controller, and be responsible for the GL entries, month end close as well as assisting in financial data preparation and various projects and analysis. This role also should have the ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities as the company grows.
Responsibilities:
- Review daily bank activities and perform bank reconciliation monthly
- Review daily inventory report and maintain WIP schedule
- Prepare monthly Journal entries and accruals with sufficient documentation
- Update monthly job cost report and assist gross margin analysis
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and prepare monthly depreciation and intangible amortization
- Perform monthly lease equipment entry and reconciliation the balance with Lease query.
- Perform month-end account reconciliations
- Perform slow moving calculation quarterly
- Prepare monthly sales & use tax accruals and support for the tax returns quarterly
- Support AP and AR functions during times of heavy activity
- Assist in SOX audit and tax compliance
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3+ years of general accounting experience in the manufacturing industry preferred
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Strong work ethic and good team player
- Ability on multi-tasks, problem solving and systemic thinking
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), Word, and Outlook
- QuickBooks, Pc/MRP and Epicor experience is a plus
