dB Control Joins HEICO Electronic Technologies Group

Fremont, Calif. – dB Control, an established manufacturer known for its reliable, high-power microwave amplifiers, radar transmitters and power supplies, today announced that it has joined the Electronic Technologies Group of HEICO Corporation (NYSE: HEI and HEI.A).  dB Control Co-Founder and CEO Joseph Hajduk will remain in his current position, as will the dB Control executive management staff and current workforce. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

“It will be business as usual for dB Control,” Hajduk said. “Last month we received a $13.2 million five-year IDIQ [Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity] contract for TWT amplifiers from the U.S. Navy.  Now with the added financial strength and worldwide presence of HEICO, we’ll have the opportunity to pursue even larger orders that will enable us to continue to grow. We are very pleased to join the HEICO team.”

HEICO Corporation is engaged primarily in niche segments of the aviation, defense, space and electronics industries through its Hollywood, FL-based HEICO Aerospace Holdings Corp. subsidiary and its Miami, FL-based HEICO Electronic Technologies Corp. subsidiary. For the fourth consecutive year, HEICO was named one of the 200 Best Small Companies by Forbes Magazine. The company has achieved significant compound annual growth rates since 1990 of nearly 20 percent in sales, earnings and stock price.

HEICO’s Co-President, Victor H. Mendelson, said, “dB Control shares our commitment to customers, employees, product development, quality and growth. We’re excited to welcome dB Control as a subsidiary of our Electronic Technologies Group and look forward to our mutual success.”
