TWT Amplifiers
Rugged TWT Amplifiers for Critical Military Operations
dB Control TWTAs are designed for Radar, ECM transmitters, electronic warfare (EW) simulation, EMI/EMC testing, RFI susceptibility/RF components testing and antenna pattern/radar cross-section measurements
What makes our TWTAs the most reliable? We’re high-voltage specialists with 34 years of design and manufacturing experience!
- Proprietary potting and encapsulation processes enable extremely dense packaging of tightly packaged high-voltage circuitry without sacrificing reliability or performance
- Wide-band, periodic permanent magnet (PPM)-focused, conduction-cooled TWTs are used for power amplification of CW, AM, FM or pulse-modulated signals
- Proprietary low-noise, high-efficiency designs operate the RF signal path. An embedded microcontroller provides the interface, control and protection functions, as well as extensive fault diagnostics and status indication for the TWT amplifier

TWTA Configurations
The dB-4051rack-mount Ka Band TWTA is packaged in a standard 19-inch configuration with an integral, forced air cooling system and is typically used for lab testing.
The dB3709I pedestal- mount Ka-Band TWTA is encased in an environmentally sealed package for outdoor and antenna applications
The dB-3708P1 pod-mounted pulsed X-Band TWTA is qualified for military airborne applications such as airborne radar and EW threat simulation.
The dB-3911 power combined TWTA uses two wideband, periodic permanent magnet (PPM)-focused TWTs to amplify CW, AM, FM or pulse-modulated signals. Compared to a single TWT approach, the dB-3911provides higher saturated output power and improved harmonic performance.
