dB CONTROL APPOINTS JAY BANWAIT AS DIRECTOR OF RF, MICROWAVE & ENGINEERING
Industry veteran brings 20+ years of experience in RF systems, engineering leadership, and advanced communications technologies
Fremont, CA — March 18, 2026 — dB Control, a supplier of mission-critical (often sole-source) products worldwide to military organizations, major defense contractors, and commercial manufacturers, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jay Banwait as Director of RF, Microwave & Engineering.
Banwait brings more than two decades of experience in RF and microwave system design, hardware development, and engineering leadership. He has a proven track record of leading high-performing teams, developing advanced communication systems, and driving projects from concept through production.
In his new role, Banwait will lead dB Control’s RF and microwave engineering efforts, overseeing system architecture, product development, and engineering strategy. He will play a key role in advancing the company’s innovation roadmap and strengthening its position in high-performance RF solutions.
Prior to joining dB Control, Banwait held leadership and senior engineering roles at several prominent technology organizations, including LeoLabs, National Instruments, and Northrop Grumman. Most recently, he served as a Senior Principal RF Engineer/Manager, where he led the development of wireless communication and power transfer systems for advanced medical applications.
Banwait holds an MBA from Santa Clara University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of London. He is also a Senior Member of IEEE, an IEEE MTT 2026 Adcom member, and an active contributor to the RF and microwave engineering community.
