dB Control Extends Amplifier Line

dB Control Extends High-Power Amplifier Line with 2-40 GHz, 50-1500 Watt MPMs for ECM, Radar and Datalinks

Fremont, Calif. – dB Control,an established manufacturer known for its reliable, high-power microwave amplifiers, radar transmitters and power supplies, will introduce four additions to its family of Microwave Power Modules (MPMs) in Booth #110 at the AOC 44th Annual International Symposium and Convention, October 28 – November 1, 2007, in Orlando, Florida. The new, compact MPM Models dB-3757, dB-4117, dB-4210 and dB-4211 are designed to operate in military manned and unmanned airborne applications, including electronic countermeasures (ECM), radar, and airborne datalinks.

“So far, dB Control has delivered in excess of 200 MPMs,” said Meppalli Shandas, vice president of marketing and a pioneer in MPM development. “dB Control engineers have been at the forefront of MPM technology from the very beginning of the Tri-Service MPM program managed by the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) in the early 90s and we’ll continue to introduce new MPMs featuring unparalleled performance and excellent reliability.”

Marketing Manager Steve Olson added, “These are exciting times at dB Control. These new products, combined with hundreds of our fielded MPMs operating reliably all over the world, solidify dB Control’s leadership in MPM technology.”

dB Control’s MPMs consist of a solid state amplifier driving a vacuum power booster in a compact package. The power conditioner, which generates all voltage needed for operating RF devices and for housekeeping incorporates low-noise power supply topology and features high-efficiency, solid-state power conversion circuits.

dB Control’s new MPMs include:

  • dB-3757, 6.0-18.0 GHz, 1500W peak power at six percent duty cycle
  • dB-4211, 6.5-18.0 GHz, 200W CW/Pulse
  • dB-4117, 18.0-40.0 GHz, 50W CW/Pulse
  • dB-4210, 2.0-7.0 GHz, 200W CW/Pulse
