dB Control Awarded Largest Defense Contract in Recent Company History for High-Power, X-Band TWT Amplifiers Onboard US Navy Ships

Onsite HALT/HASS Machines at dB Control Facility Help Ensure TWTAs Stay Reliable in Extreme Environments

Fremont, Calif. – January 31, 2019 – dB Control, an international defense electronics manufacturer, was awarded an $11 million contract by a US-based prime system integrator. While exact details of the contract are classified, dB Control will provide high-power, X-band, pulsed traveling wave tube amplifiers (TWTAs) for a US Navy shipboard program. The high-power amplifiers (HPAs) will undergo extensive environmental testing at dB Control’s 40,000 square-foot facility, which includes onsite HALT/HASS machines. The tests will ensure the TWTAs stay reliable in rugged and extreme conditions. This is the largest order dB Control has received in the last decade.
