dB Control Introduces Compact, Lightweight, 6-18 GHz Pulsed Microwave Power Module for Electronic Warfare Military Operations

Broadband MPM Features 1 kW Peak Power at 5% Maximum Duty Cycle

Fremont, Calif. – April 11, 2019 – dB Control, an international defense electronics manufacturer, has introduced a compact, lightweight, pulsed microwave power module (MPM) that operates in the 6-18 GHz frequency range and provides 1 kW peak power at 5% maximum duty cycle. The dB-3774B weighs 18 pounds and dimensions are 7 in. (width) by 3 in. (height) by 18 in. (length). Designed for high-performance electronic warfare applications like radar jamming, this MPM features a conduction-cooled mini traveling wave tube (TWT) for power amplification and a solid-state driver amplifier for RF gain.

The high-voltage power supply section of the dB-3774B uses modular architecture and low-noise power supply topology. Additionally, the conduction-cooled dB-3774B MPM operates with 270 VDC prime power, resulting in the best efficiency in DC operation (with options for 28 VDC and 115 VAC 3 phase). Custom frequency bands are available.
