dB Control Awarded $1+ Million Contract for Towed Decoy Power Supply that Can Divert Enemy Ballistics Away from an Aircraft, Keep Military Pilots Safe

Defense Manufacturer to Design Towed Decoy to Mimic Aircraft Targets for Airborne Demonstration

Fremont, Calif. – August 5, 2020 – dB Control was awarded a $1+ million contract for a custom towed decoy power supply. Ordered by a major defense integrator, the power supply will be used for airborne demonstration and feasibility design purposes. It will be designed to mimic an aircraft target to divert incoming ballistics away from the actual aircraft. This means the pilot(s) onboard the aircraft would potentially have increased survivability rates even in hostile conditions.

During product design, dB Control engineers will adhere to stringent SWaP (size, weight and power) requirements to ensure reliable performance of the towed decoy power supply. Additionally, the manufacturing process will incorporate the company’s proprietary encapsulation process and custom packaging procedures. The product will be designed, manufactured and tested at dB Control’s 40,000 sq. ft. facility in Fremont, CA. While exact details of the contract are classified, defense contractors and original equipment manufacturers can email dB Control to get more information about other products and capabilities.
