Defense Manufacturer Supports Military Radar Program, Helps Enable Threat Detection in Heavy Clutter Environments

Fremont, Calif. – May 29, 2014 – dB Control, a defense electronics manufacturer, was awarded a follow-on contract by a major US defense customer to manufacture high-power traveling wave tube (TWT) transmitters for a military shipboard radar program that detects and tracks threats in heavy clutter environments. Terms prohibit dB Control from naming the customer and product specifications.

“Our defense customer awarded us a follow-on contract because they are confident in our continued ability to meet their mission-critical requirements for power, bandwidth, size and weight,” said dB Control Vice President of Business Development Steve Walley. “Our team understands the role these products have in saving lives and is extremely attentive to detail throughout the entire design, development, manufacturing and test processes. As a result, hundreds of our transmitters are performing reliably in the field.”

The contract includes recurring engineering, technical, logistical and data support services that will be provided from dB Control’s Fremont, Calif. facilities.
